The Test and Evaluation Division (TED) of the Public Safety and Homeland Security Group was created to validate the effectiveness of technologies in development and commercially available products that show promise in meeting predetermined needs of various federal, state, and local clients of the WVHTC Foundation. TED places those technologies and products into the hands of reputable and credible end-users to validate the effectiveness of those proposed solutions under real-world conditions. This effort creates an interface between the developer and end-user at the earliest possible stages of development, thus, significantly reducing development time and cost, which in turn, benefits both parties involved. Current focus for this effort includes public safety, emergency response, homeland security, and environmental solutions.
