WVHTC Foundation staff is supporting Northrop-Grumman in its endeavors regarding the NASA Independant Verification & Validation (IV&V) facility, located in Fairmont, West Virginia.
About NASA Independant Verification & Validation
The role of IV&V is to provide unbiased checking of critical systems for NASA missions. Our researchers are providing in depth analysis of both requirements and generated code.
These missions are both manned, such as the Constellation Orion system, as well as unmanned, such as the Mar Science Lander and GLORY missions.
IV&V critically examines mission requirements, design documents, and software looking for errors, shortfalls, and ambiguities. Discovered artifacts are given to design and implementation teams for consideration.
WVHTC Foundation staff has been recognized by NASA and the NASA Missions for providing critical input for identifying system deficiencies that were corrected before flight.
