The WVHTC Foundation’s Tactical Network Topology (TNT) program is collaboration between the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) and the Naval Post Graduate School (NPS) that conducts seven-day experiments quarterly.
These experiments are designed to develop, test and evaluate, integrate, prove and improve technologies that provide warfighter communications, real time video, and biometrics information utilizing Unmanned Vehicles on land, air, and water.
About Tactical Network Topology
Experiments are conducted utilizing new or untested technologies in simulated battlefield conditions with the assistance of Special Operations Forces (SOF) operators as evaluators.
Three locations have been used: Camp Roberts, CA; San Francisco Bay, CA; and Camp Atterbury, IN. Two new sites have been put into use recently: Camp Dawson WV; and Fort Hunter Liggett, CA.
TNT provides laboratories and developers of numerous technologies in multiple disciplines the chance to test and evaluate their technologies and concepts of operations in a simulated battlefield setting with Special Operations, National Guard, and Air Force personnel as evaluators.
Data collection is provided by professors and students of NPS and other academic institutions worldwide. A comprehensive After Action Report (AAR) is compiled and distributed to all organizations and agencies participating in the experiments.
