WVHTC Foundation facilitates partnership between EPA and Waters Corporation
4/26/2007

The Intellectual Property (IP) Management Group’s Environmental Technologies (ET) Program, under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), facilitated a partnership between the EPA’s National Exposure Research Laboratory and Waters Corporation to form a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA). The goal of the CRADA over the next three years is to develop methods for the sample collection, storage, extraction, cleanup, and analysis for trace levels of perfluorinated compounds (PFCs).

The West Virginia High Technology Consortium (WVHTC) Foundation’s IP Management Group specializes in moving early-stage research from laboratories to markets and provides a comprehensive range of IP management services. Its mission is to enable U.S. business and industry to be viable leaders in the global marketplace through the transfer, development, and production of new technologies.

A vital program of the IP Management Group is the ET Program, which facilitates partnerships that provide a direct avenue for industry to access EPA research and capabilities. These partnerships advance the development of innovative technology-based products that have environmental and economic impact.
